A new generation of high-performance porcelain tile

BESTIAL is the definitive solution that eliminates all the problems of traditional outdoor tiles.

After several years of research and development, Bestile, with more than 30 years in the sector and a team of expert technicians in different areas, has perfected a high-performance porcelain tile 20mm thick.

The pieces of BESTIAL are timeless, resistant to sunlight and frost, have high bending and breaking strength, and require very little maintenance.

INNOVATION & HIGH TECHNICAL PERFORMANCE

Bestial is produced according to the most demanding technical and quality standards established in different markets, with the use of the latest technologies and the selection of the best raw materials to offer aesthetics and beauty in addition to a wide variety of designs.

Offers high technical performance in terms of breakage resistance, frost resistance, and sudden temperature changes, bending resistance with fixed and static loads, low maintenance, ease of installation, stain resistance, customization and modularity, and durability over time.

Bestial by Bestile is ideal for any public or private space that requires high technical performance: tall spaces, building facades, sidewalks, public squares, communities of neighbors (walls and facades), hotels, senior centers, shopping malls, train, metro, and bus stations, airport facilities, and all interior areas you can imagine.

USES & APPLICATIONS

Technical information

All BESTIAL collections are ideal for indoor and outdoor use…

BESTIAL offers the possibility of covering any EXTERIOR and INTERIOR space with a very pleasant aesthetic without sacrificing magnificent technical features.

The specific characteristics of BESTIAL allow seamless integration of the material into the environment, providing the possibility of easily and effectively creating walls, facades, partitions, etc.

The elevated thickness of BESTIAL 20mm guarantees considerable resistance, which makes this type of material the most suitable for both public and private environments. BESTIAL can be placed on a wide variety of surfaces.

To maintain and increase the performance of your BESTIAL porcelainware, we recommend carefully following the installation instructions for each location where you wish to install your porcelainware.

For any questions or additional information, we recommend you consult our sales department.

BEFORE STARTING THE PROJECT

The substrate or lower area must be suitable and prepared, previously for the intended use of the BESTIAL porcelain (whatever the format may be).

It is necessary to plan the installation of joints. Ceramic porcelain tiles are subjected to stresses caused by differential movements between the support and the material. All of this can cause loss of adhesion, buckling, and cracks, which can be avoided by incorporating joints between the tiles that prevent the transmission of system stresses.

In addition to this technical function, the placement board also performs an aesthetic function by providing a decorative texture effect that can be softened or emphasized through its width, coloring, and finish.

It is totally necessary to use placement or separation joints between pieces, leaving at least 5mm outdoors. The use of expansion joints, especially in the case of large surfaces (every 16-32m2), the use of structural joints of the building or area to be covered, and the use of a separation at columns and walls (perimeter joint). All of this to prevent the transmission of system stresses.

BEFORE INSTALLATION

Spread about 3-4m2 of BESTIAL material on the floor, taking tiles from different boxes, verify that they comply with what was agreed at the time of placing your order.

Make sure the boxes for tones, model, and color are the same. This information is in each box.

Please note that claims will not be accepted under any circumstances regarding material already installed and/or without its original packaging.

INSTALLATION WITH ADHESIVES AND CEMENTS GLUE

It is the most suitable system for placing BESTIAL pieces vertically, indoors, outdoors, and at height. This system is the most common in any case. It consists of gluing or double gluing with an adhesive or glue cement of BESTIAL pieces, which gives us adhesion, elasticity, and durability. For this reason, we recommend an adhesive with high performance, very good workability, and deformable, such as H40 GEL by Kerakoll.

It is recommended to always use an appropriate gasket, utilizing splints or spacers. On large surfaces, plan for the use of another type of gasket, as previously described.

For meetings, we recommend FUGABELLA COLOR, a low-permeability, flexible joint compound with high color durability, as well as an elastic sealant compatible with ceramic tiles, Keralkoll’s SILICONE COLOR, which withstands contractions and elongations that the product will undergo due to temperature variations.

The placement criteria must comply with the intended use of the BESTIAL porcelain.

Installation can be carried out using both improved cement-based adhesives (C2S2 class according to EN12004) and similar products. In the case of adhesive installation, the surface must be perfectly flat and prepared for proper porcelain tile anchoring.
Install the pieces by taking them from several boxes at once to mix and unify the general tone.

GROUTING

For the use of colored sealants or caulks, we recommend strictly following the manufacturer's usage instructions.
In any case, special attention should always be paid when using sealants whose color contrasts with the product (light-colored products and dark-colored sealants such as black, blue, or red). In these cases, it is advisable to perform a test on a few pieces before installation.

We deny all responsibility for parts stained with colored joint compounds and/or sealants, if not applied correctly according to the manufacturer's recommendations in each situation.

It is essential to have a series of measures in mind before proceeding with the jointing of BESTIAL products to ensure a good final result. Sufficient time will be allowed to elapse to ensure proper adhesive hardening, recommending a minimum of 24h to prevent subsequent damage to the porcelain.

The joints will be cleaned in their entirety and depth uniformly to receive the grouting material. The application temperature will be between 5º and 30º, avoiding application in conditions of low humidity, rain, strong wind, or direct sunlight.

POST-GROUT CLEANUP

After placing BESTIAL and sealing the joints, it is necessary to wash the porcelain well and remove the cementitious lime residue from the grout, strictly following the manufacturer's instructions.

You have to wash a few square meters at a time, using a descaling detergent based on phosphoric-hydrochloric acid or similar, properly diluted in water.

Finally rinse several times with clean water, changing the water usually every three or four uses.

PROTECTION OF THE GLAZED PORCELAIN TILES DURING CONSTRUCTION

It is recommended to protect the porcelain BESTIAL finish, once it is perfectly clean and dry, using special plastics or PVCs to prevent damage to the floor during finishing works.

Our porcelain does not require daily maintenance or special requirements, the material is easy to clean and does not require special precautions.

The methods and cleaning frequency should be those indicated for the intended product use and surface extension.

For effective maintenance we recommend:

– Do not leave dirt or stains on the product for too long.
– Always use detergents. The choice of detergent depends on the intended use and the type of dirt. Under normal conditions, a neutral or alkaline detergent is recommended. Bleach or disinfectants can also be used.
– Rinse thoroughly with clean water.

EXTRAORDINARY MAINTENANCE AND WARNINGS

Extraordinary maintenance is necessary in case the ordinary maintenance is not performed correctly or in the event of accidents that have caused stains and/or dirt due to particular substances on any BESTIAL product.

In these cases, it is necessary to intervene with professional detergents specifically for the type of dirt or stains present. To remove them, frequent results are best achieved by combining them with the use of cleaning machines.

During occasional use of concentrated chemical products for extraordinary cleaning, it is necessary to pay maximum attention, scrupulously and precisely following the instructions indicated by the manufacturers of said cleaning products. BESTILE is exempt from any liability for damages to property and/or persons due to misuse of detergents and chemical products.
